Step back in time with us for an engaging evening of local history! Join us for our third session with local historian Mr. James Perrin as he shares stories, photographs, and insights into Ponchatoula’s history from 1920–1940—a pivotal era that helped shape the community we know today.
The presentation will focus on the cultural, political, educational, and economic developments during this important time. This period witnessed the massive growth of the community following the construction of two large cypress lumber mills. This period of progress was followed by the hard economic time of the Depression.
