We are delighted to be welcoming award-winning bread baking enthusiast, GP and Great British Bake Off finalist to the shop as he chats about his compendium of baking knowledge and insight, The Big Book of Bread. Join James as he chats about his latest book with GBBO Winner, , on Sunday 13th October at 6pm.
Flour, water, salt – three ingredients which, when combined, have infinite possibilities to become adelicious tasting form of bread - from artisan loaves to fluffy rolls, buttery brioche and sticky cinnamonbuns. The Big Book of Bread is an exploration of bread in its myriad forms, with flavourful recipes forrecreating beloved loaves from around the globe.
James Morton is the author of seven books including Super Sourdough (2019) and Brilliant Bread, which won the Guild of Food Writers Cookbook of the Year award in 2014. In 2012 he reached the final of BBC TV’s Great British Bake Off. He works as a GP in Glasgow, Scotland with an interest in climate and sustainability.
