The James Island Connector 8K Run and 5K Run/Walk goes across the connector from the James Island side of the Ashley River. It's your only chance to (legally) run the James Island Connector.The post-race festival includes a finishers medal and food at the finish line. The race starts at 8 AM for both distances, runners and walkers.
We have the top finisher awards as well as 3 deep in all age groups, masters level, and top 3 Male and Female walkers.
The Charleston Running Club has hosted the JICR since 2019. We're a 100% volunteer operated club that promotes running, walking, and healthy lifestyles in the Charleston SC area.
