Hi Everyone, With the weather getting warmer that means the annual James Houghton Memorial Golf Tournament is just around the corner! Mark your calendars with the details below for the 2025 9-Hole Ambrose tournament:
When: Sunday the 23rd of February, teeing off at 2:00 PM (shotgun start). Please arrive at 1.30pm, so that all teams are formed and ready to tee off on time.
Where: Morrinsville Golf Club.
This year, we’re switching things up slightly to accommodate more players and ensure a great day for everyone. Please note below:
1. Teams of 3: Each team will consist of three players and two teams will be teeing off on each hole. Nothing like a bit of friendly competition as you walk the course.
2. Team Registration: All players must enrol and complete payment prior to the day - please use the link below to register. If you're not signing up as a complete team of three, no problem! Simply register, and we’ll match you with other players to form a full team.
3. Spectator Fee & Enrolment: This year we are introducing a spectator fee, to ensure costs are covered for those who don’t wish to participate in the tournament but still wish to join in for everything else, such as dinner and a range of the competitions. Spectators also need to enrol via the spectator form below.
Cost:
$40 Per Player (this cost covers your round, drinks whilst on the course, dinner and prizes).
$15 Spectator Fee (this covers non-tournament/team competitions such as the putting competition and dinner).
We are excited to announce that this year we will be raising money towards financially supporting youth to attend HM Rage Youth Camp - an incredible event that James attended and is held at Totara Springs which always was a special place for James. If you are interested in sponsoring parts of the tournament, I would love to hear from you!
It’s always a fantastic day to honour James and enjoy the course. We already are expecting a great turnout, so make sure you get your enrolments submitted so you don’t miss out!
