Jam Town
About this Event
Maybe you played in a high school band. Maybe you picked up a guitar during lockdown. Maybe life got busy, careers happened, kids arrived, or you moved and fell out of the scene.
Before you knew it, your instrument was gathering dust in the corner of the room.
Whether you miss playing with other humans or have always wanted to jam with other people and never got the chance, Jam Town is for you.
Jam Town is intentionally low-pressure, welcoming, and a little rough around the edges. No auditions or egos. Definitely no expectation that anyone is secretly Dave Grohl. We proudly celebrate “a bit rusty.”
Just people reconnecting with music, creativity, and each other.
If you love rock, pop, punk, indie, or even a little country – and miss the feeling of playing music with other humans – you’ll fit right in.
How It Works
- Reserve your spot
Numbers are intentionally capped 12 musicians so everyone gets plenty of opportunity to play. Tell us what instrument you play when registering. - Add a song to the set list
Everyone gets the chance to contribute a song they love or have always wanted to jam. - The set list is shared ahead of time
Learn the songs in advance... or don't. No pressure either way. - We meet beforehand for a drink / bite to eat
Mostly to get to know each other before plugging in and making noise together. - Then we head to over the road to the rehearsal space & jam
It doesn't need to be perfect, because the magic isn't perfection. The magic is jamming with other musos.
What You'll Need To Bring
- Your instrument – if you play guitar, bass, trumpet, saxophone, violin, etc
- Leads, pedals and strap if needed
- Drumsticks if you’re a drummer
- Earplugs
Who This Is NOT For
- It's not a showcase night or open mic competition
- Serious or professional musicians – it's fun amateur hour over here
