Grace Fellowship Baptist Church | Robbinsville, NC

Due to construction delaying passage between Robbinsville and Stecoah, Stecoah Valley Center’s Junior Appalachian Musicians Program leaders are pivoting. A core value is making Appalachian music accessible. Therefore, for the Fall semester of JAM, classes will be held in Robbinsville, at Grace Fellowship Church. The hope is this change will allow more students to participate.
Classes will be on Tuesdays, right after school. Roger Gibbs will be teaching beginning guitar and beginning mandolin. Nathan Benton will be assisting him in guitar. Dwight Bradshaw will be the instructor for intermediate guitar and JAM Band. Also, former JAM student and instructor Daylan Carver will be returning to teach beginning and intermediate fiddle.
JAM is free for 4th-12th graders to join, but registration is required. Contact Stecoah Valley Center (www.stecoahvalleycenter.com/jam) for registration information. Registration is open through September 30, but lessons begin on Tuesday, September 9.
