Jalib Jamhoori Mela is an annual public event held in memory of Shayar-e-Awam, Habib Jalib. The event is organized by the Jalib Mela Committee, a collective comprising left-wing organizations, the family of Habib Jalib, student groups, trade unions, journalists, artists, and progressive activists.This year, the Jalib Jamhoori Mela will take place on 9th at the Cosmo Political Club, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.
The event will feature:
Political discussions
Radical and resistant poetry
Music and theater performances
Classical dance and other artistic expressions
Book stalls and affordable food stalls
The Mela is open to all, with no entry fee. Individuals and groups from all walks of life are warmly invited to participate in this celebration of art, activism, and resistance.
