With hundreds of thousands of spectators worldwide, mini-festivals from Houston to Doha, and speakers like Ken Follett, Patrick Radden Keefe and Jonathan Franzen, the iconic Jaipur Literature Festival is known as “the greatest literary show on Earth” (Tina Brown). In conjunction with the Asia Society and the Center for Fiction, NAC will host the ninth edition of Jaipur Literature Festival New York in early September.

The Art of Enlightenment: Visual Expressions of the Dharma by Andrew Quintman

Andrew Quintman, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Religion at Wesleyan University, is a well-known scholar of Buddhist literature and history, sacred geography, and visual culture. In this transformative session, he invokes the process of self-discovery through the lens of Dharma —the Buddha’s path to liberation from suffering. Quintman explains meditation practice and shows how creative expression can deepen and align meditative states.
