JAGS College Fair and Pancake Breakfast

Welcome to the Jackson Academy of Global Studies (JAGS) College Fair and Pancake Breakfast!

JAGS takes great pride in preparing our students for their future careers and for all the unique challengens the world demands. The academy's goal is to go beyond imparting experience to students by taking student ideas, big and small, and creating something new and exciting.

JAGS’s mini-college fair aims to not only provide our students with important information about postsecondary education pathways but also it provides our students with the opportunity to talk directly with college representatives and/or admission counselors to find out about the programs and majors offered at different institutions and their admission requirements.

The schools participating at this inaugural event range from private, liberal arts colleges to regional public universities to state flagship institutions. Three NCAA athletic divisions are represented. A diversity of ideology and campus culture is present, ranging from conservative to liberal, religious to secular. Some are strong STEM-centered schools while others are stout in the arts and humanities. Several offer substantial scholarship packages to National Merit Scholars, while others help defray their overall cost through admissions-based merit scholarships, departmental scholarships, foundation scholarships, and/or regional scholarships/tuition-reduction programs.

Additionally, what truly makes this college fair unique is the fact that each participating school is located outside of Ohio, reflecting one of JAGS’ principle - “Investigating the World”, which encourages our students to investigate the world beyond their immediate environment.

In future events, we aim to host colleges, universities, and postsecondary institutions based both in and outside of Ohio that offer Global Study Programs, with the goal of further inspiring our students' curiosity about the world.”
