The City of Hickory's Sails Original Music Series, presented by Protection Products, Inc., welcomes back Jacoozy. The free concert begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, at Union Square in downtown Hickory.

--ABOUT THE ARTIST--
Jacoozy is a five-piece band based in Asheville, N.C., delivering a dynamic fusion of rock, funk, jazz, and alternative. Featuring guitarists Killian Wright and Will Fentress, drummer Pauly Scott, keyboardist Isaac McMurray, and bassist Ramon Garcia, the group is known for electrifying live performances and masterful improvisation. Since their 2021 formation in Boone, they’ve built a dedicated following across the Carolinas and the Southeast. Their 2022 self-titled EP and 2024 single “Blinds” has earned over one million streams. With a brand-new full length album on the way, Jacoozy is just getting started.
“They are improvisational and funky – all the things that make for a good dance party on a Friday night in Hickory!” says Bob Sinclair, coordinator for the Sails Original Music Series.

The Sails on the Square are located in the heart of downtown Hickory on Union Square. In addition to the seating available at Union Square, audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. ABC permitted businesses within the Hickory Downtown Social District sell beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages in specially marked cups that may be consumed on Union Square, sidewalks, and other public areas within the designated boundaries of the social district.
