One of the most exciting ways to learn and be inspired at the same time is to attend workshops, especially when they involve travel. Barbara has taken workshops from Ted Nutall, Don Andrews, Pat Weaver, Mel Stabin, Suzanna Winton, Nicholas Simmons, Lian Zhen, Charles Reid, John Lovett, David Lobenberg, Ted Head, Mary Whyte, Michael Holter, Lorraine Watry, John Salminen, Linda Wokoun, Libit Jones, Robin Makowski, Pablo Rivera, Linda Kemp, Catherine Hillis, Xi Guo, Pam Wenger, and others. Barbara is also a member of the Jacksonville Urban Sketchers group.
Barbara was selected to be the 2024 Artist of the Year because of her service to JWS and the art community, as well as her talent as a watercolorist with award winning paintings in her large portfolio of paintings that were in JWS juried shows.
Come early at 5:30 to socialize with fellow artists and enjoy the refreshments generously provided by Cypress Village.
