From the rhythmic patter of a summer rainstorm in Brahms’s ‘Regenlied’ Sonata to the delicate, budding lyricism of Clara Schumann’s Romances, the first half of our program celebrates the vibrant life of the earth.
As the sun sets, we move into the ethereal. Experience the shimmering heat of Rebecca Clarke’s ‘Midsummer Moon’ and the iconic, silver-drenched stillness of Debussy’s ‘Clair de Lune.’ We conclude with César Franck’s monumental Sonata in A Major – a work of soaring joy that captures the radiant energy of a world in full bloom.
