Jack E. Lantern Cake Class (2-Day Intensive)
Meet Jack E. Lantern—a stylish, feminine twist on the classic pumpkin cake, inspired by elegance with a touch of Halloween flair.
In this two-day immersive class, students will design and build a fully 3D carved Jack E. Lantern cake, complete with a witch’s hat, oversized bow, delicate curls, and a soft, expressive face.
This is a showpiece cake packed with technique, detail, and creativity—perfect for decorators ready to elevate their skills.
Class Schedule
Saturday, October 17th & Sunday, October 18th

Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day
*This Is an estimate as the actual time frame Is contingent upon the skill set of the class as a whole. Leaving later Is a possibility so please plan accordingly.

Includes a 1-hour lunch break each day
What You’ll Learn
This class covers a wide range of intermediate to advanced techniques, including:
• 3D cake carving and sculpting

• How to stack, fill, and structurally build a carved cake

• Working with fondant and sugar mediums

• How to color, shape, and apply fondant

• Creating structured elements such as a witch’s hat and statement bow

• Airbrushing techniques for shading and dimension

• Adding decorative accents and fine details

• Understanding internal supports and structure

• Proper assembly, securing, and transportation of a multi-component cake
Class Breakdown
Day 1 (Saturday):

Students will focus on the top structure of the cake, including the witch’s hat and bow. This portion will cover working with fondant, shaping, and building decorative elements.
Day 2 (Sunday):

Students will complete the cake by stacking, filling, carving, and covering the pumpkin base. The class will then move into airbrushing, sculpting, detailing, and final assembly of the full cake.
Skill Level
This is an intermediate-level class.
Best suited for students who already have basic experience with cake decorating and are ready to move into carving, sculpting, and structured designs.
If you have never worked with cake before, this class may feel overwhelming.
Class Details
• Students ages 16 and older

• All supplies are included

• Students may bring a drink, snacks, and an apron
Each student will complete their own 3D Jack E. Lantern cake.
Tuition & Payment Policy
Total Tuition: $350
Students may choose to either pay in full at registration or secure their seat with a non-refundable deposit of $175.
If the deposit option is selected:

• The remaining balance of $175 will be invoiced via email two weeks prior to the class date

• The final payment must be paid in full by the due date listed on the invoice
If you anticipate any issues with completing your final payment, you must contact us prior to the due date.
Failure to submit the final payment or make contact by the due date will be considered a cancellation. In this case:

• The deposit will be forfeited

• The student will lose their seat in the class
Due to the extensive preparation, materials, and limited seating for this class, all payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.
No “Parent & Me” tickets are available for this class.

Ticket Policy (Please Read Before Purchasing)
All class tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason at any time. This includes cancellations, schedule conflicts, no-shows, late arrivals, illness, or failure to meet class requirements.
By purchasing a ticket, you are reserving a seat in class. Supplies are purchased, prepared, and portioned specifically for each student. Labor is involved in advance preparation and many materials cannot be reused once prepared.
If you cannot attend, you may request a one-time transfer with at least 48 hours notice if space allows, but this is not guaranteed.
Failure to meet class requirements or follow class policies may result in denial of participation without refund.
