👉 About Cecilia
Cecilia is an Iyengar Yoga Certified Teacher by RIMYI, Pune, India. Regular practitioner of the method for more than 12 years, starting giving classes 7 years ago, taught in Buenos Aires, Madrid and now Lisbon. Cecilia took regular classes in Argentina with Beatriz and Paula Tortolano, Delfina Mendoça, Mónica Moya and Marina Chaselon and now practices with Billy Konrad in Portugal. Assisted to International Seminars with Raya Uma Datta & Arun H.S (India), Christian Pisano & Faeq Biria (France), Lois Steinberg & Carrie Owerko (USA). She visited the RIMYI - Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute-, heart of the Iyengar family, in 2017.
Cecilia develops her classes looking forward to a greater range of movement and a therapeutic approach of yoga. Understanding the practice as the means to create a strong bond between mind, emotion and body.

Iyengar yoga emphasizes in alignment and body awareness, it works on strength and flexibility in the challenge of each asana, what brings health and well-being, helps reduce stress and improves sleep. Iyengar yoga has a great therapeutic side, ideal to work on discomforts such as sciatica, lumbar or cervical hernias, knees or others. This practice of yoga allows people of different ages, levels of health and physical conditions to take advantage of the benefits that a regular practice can bring to.
