Our luncheon topic is “Using Your Past Pain to Direct Your Path."Guest speaker Sharon Williams will share her story of her escape from a physically abusive relationship with a prospective NBA player. She was a young woman with a bright & successful future but was caught in the terrible trap of this relationship.
Sharon had the love and support of her family and was always told by her mother “Your Eyes Tell A Story”. Through her story, she will inspire us to take control of our own narrative and own our truth. She will inspire us to be seen even though we might not feel seen.
Register through Friday, November 15th for $25; the cost is $30 through Monday, November 18th when registration closes.

SPEAKER BIO:
Sharon Williams was born & raised on the East Side of Springfield, Illinois the youngest sibling of seven children. Sharon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior from Benedictine University. She has been employed with Springfield Public School District 186 for over 25 years. She is a business owner of Capital City Dance, not only does she own the business but she is a dance coach. In addition to all of this, she is the co-founder of CRF-Foundation (Celebrating, Remembering & Fighting Cancer). CRF was founded in 2010 after she lost her sister Sandra K. Young-Williams to breast cancer. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
In 2022, she wrote Your Eyes Tell a Story to use her life’s journey and challenge as a guide for someone facing similar obstacles, helping them to understand the importance of coming face to face with their past in order to truly find healing.
Sharon’s passion is helping others - - men, women and children find the strength to turn PAIN into Purpose.
