Ivey's Taco 'Bout a Throwdown 2026 - Blanchard, LA

We're excited to announce the first ever Ivey's Taco 'Bout a Throwdown! Join us as we celebrate the fall season at Ivey's Building Materials Center in Blanchard, Louisiana on Saturday, November 14th by a good 'ol friendly Taco Showdown!
The festivities will start at 8am and continue until awards at 3pm!
There will be local vendors, bbq teams and inflatables for the kids to enjoy.
Patrons will be able to purchase sample wristbands for $10 which allows the taste of each competitor's food!

6am-7am- Team Load-in
8am- Cooks Meeting
10am- Judges Meeting
11am- People's Choice Turn-in
11am-1pm- People's Choice Tasting
11:45am- Beef Taco Turn-in
12:30pm- Chicken Taco Turn-in
3pm- Awards

Grand Champion: $1000 and Belt
People's Choice: Custom Award
First Place Beef: $300 & Award
Second Place Beef: $200
Third Place Beef: $100
First Place Chicken: $300 & Award
Second Place Chicken: $200
Third Place Chicken: $100
Cook Team Info:
-Team Registration: $150 (6 person max)
-All food must be prepared and cooked on-site.
-Teams must participate in People's Choice if entered. Taco samples must be cooked to supply to public. Any style beef, steak or pork taco is allowed for People's Choice.
-Any heat source allowed. No electric or water available.
