Guillaume Connesson’s Les Chants de l’Agartha transports listeners to a mystical, imagined world, fusing contemporary energy with mythic depth. The evening concludes with Rachmaninov’s lush and emotionally charged Cello Sonata, Op. 19—a cornerstone of the cello repertoire. From French elegance to British intensity, modern mysticism to Russian romanticism, this programme offers a rich, wide-ranging journey for curious ears and devoted classical fans alike.
