VOCAL ELIMINATIONS ON-LINE
For people who would like to take part in the vocal competition - an application form for participation in the ONLINE vocal qualifying rounds must be submitted by May 5.
(attachment: "Appendix No. 1 APPLICATION FORM - IV Monika Swarowska-Walawska International Festival and Vocal Preliminaries").
Up to 70 people will be selected in the vocal qualifying rounds and will be qualified to participate in the 4th International Vocal Competition. Monika Swarowska-Walawska SINGING WITHOUT BORDERS JULY 1-3 in Krzeszowice.
To apply for the ONLINE VOCAL ELIMINATIONS, please send an e-mail to [email protected] containing:
1) application form. containing a link/links to the competition recordings with the repertoire (the songs can be registered as one recording or as two independent recordings = 2 links). The total length of both songs is max. 10 minutes. (Note - the application form should be sent in PDF format - a signed scan and an editable document.)
ONLINE ELIMINATION REPERTOIRE:
I. a piece in the participant's national language
II. any aria (opera or oratorio)
2) confirmation of payment of the entry fee of PLN 250 in the case of participation in the vocal eliminations only
3) biographical note
4) portrait photography
People qualified for the Vocal Competition in Krzeszowice will be asked to send the application form "Appendix No. 1 – APPLICATION FORM - IV Monika Swarowska-Walawska International Vocal Competition
REPERTOIRE OF STAGES OF THE COMPETITION Stage I and II in KRZESZOWICE 1-3.07:
b) Stage I – repertoire duration: up to 15 minutes
For category I (students of secondary music schools):
- a piece by a Polish composer other than in Stage II,
- opera aria from the world repertoire,
- any piece (a piece by a Norwegian composer is welcome). (not obligatory)
The committee selects 2 songs out of 3 submitted
For categories II, III, IV and V:
- a work by a Polish composer other than in the second stage (if the Slavic composer in the second stage is a Polish composer),
- opera aria from the world repertoire,
- a piece by a Norwegian composer,
- any piece. (not obligatory)
The committee selects 3 songs out of 4 submitted.
b) 2nd stage FINAL – repertoire duration up to 20 minutes:
– opera aria by a Slavic composer/song for high school students
Slavic composer
– any opera aria (different than in the previous stages),
– any piece. (not obligatory)
The committee selects 2 out of 3 submitted works
CATEGORIES APPLICABLE IN THE ONLINE QUALIFICATIONS AND THE COMPETITION
Category 1
A) group for secondary school singing students who are not also students of music universities majoring in vocals (16-28 years old) - also for this year's diploma students
Category 2
group for bachelor's students of vocal studies, aged 19-32 - also for this year's graduates
Category 3
A) group for master's students of vocal studies aged 19-32 - also for this year's graduates
B) for bachelor's degree graduates not studying at master's level, up to 33 years of age
Category 4
A) for graduates of vocal studies from the age of 24.
Category 5
A) amateurs (no age restrictions) and graduates of secondary music schools without higher education (over 25 years of age)
