It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
Adapted by Joe Landry
Directed by Glenna Grant
It’s Christmas Eve, 1946, and the cast of radio station WBFR is bringing you a live broadcast of the most beloved holiday story ever told. Watch as a small ensemble of actors voices dozens of characters, conjuring an entire world, and the town of Bedford Falls, with nothing but microphones, sound effects, and pure theatrical magic. Follow George Bailey, a man who gave up his dreams again and again to help his neighbors, as he reaches his breaking point on Christmas Eve and is visited by Clarence, an angel still trying to earn his wings, who shows him what the world would look like if he’d never been born. Warm, witty, and wonderfully nostalgic, this charming production is a love letter to old-time radio, community, and the people who make life worth living.
