It's Giving Dance May Charity Event - YWCA SD

1 in 4 women, 1 in 7 men, and 1 in 2 trans and nonbinary people face domestic violence. Let's help them rebuild their lives and make their healing journey more comfortable. Please bring a NEW item from the list below for the YWCA in order to join our contemporary dance class.

At It’s Giving Dance, we’re all about kindness, community, and service— and this class is our way of saying thanks for giving to those who need it most. 💜

Since all donations go directly to the YWCA, your donation is necessary in order to participate in the class.

Here is what the YWCA is currently looking for in terms of donations and all items must be NEW:

• Full or Queen Size Sheet Sets - Light colors such as light green, light blue, light yellow, ivory, white. (This is their number one need right now)
• Journals with pens
• Dish Towel Sets - Colorful ones without holidays or sayings, no black or grey.
• Pot Holders - Square flat ones or full size mittens in cheerful colors (again nondenominational and no holiday themes/messages)
• Ask about Gift Card options if unable to find an item off the above list.

You can expect a 90-minute contemporary class for all levels with a warm-up, emotional choreography, and an empowering atmosphere. Attire that you can move freely in such as leggings, shorts, flowy pants, large t-shirts, tank tops, socks, etc. are encouraged but anything that makes you feel comfortable is the main goal! Come give, dance, and make a difference in your community! 🫶🏽
