Italian Verb Online Course The verb is the foundation of all language learning: how we express action, time, and place as we navigate the world around us through present, past and future tense. This intensive course will take us on a journey to encounter all 14 verb constructions in Italian, the 7 simple tenses and the 7 compound tenses, their form, function and use in grammar and everyday expression. In addition, we will dedicate time to learn and practice two of the most spoken verb constructions in Italian: il si impersonale and il gerundio. The course will start at the beginning with the present tense and its 3 key functions in Italian, revealing the differences in form and usage between Italian and English, such as the presence of two verbs “to be” in Italian, and only one in English. The course is open for any student who wishes to discover the full architecture of the Italian verb. This course will begin on Thursday, Sept 26th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm EST and ends on Thursday, Dec. 19th (skipping over Nov. 28th). The course will be offered virtually on Zoom and will consist of 12 lessons. The registration fee is $200.00 which must be paid in full by the first day of the course. All ZOOM information and the link will be provided one week prior to the course starting.
