What You Will Learn
- Master the Marinara: Help the instructor build a vibrant, large-batch of classic marinara sauce, while discussing core ingredient selection.
- The Perfect Mix: Learn traditional meat ratios, the importance of a panade, and hands-on techniques for rolling tender meatballs.
- Simmer: Learn the secret to cooking the most tender meatballs, perfect for including in our subs
- The Custom Sub: Prep your fresh toppings and assemble your own loaded, meatball sub before broiling and enjoying in class
Class Schedule
- Introduction (10 mins): Welcome, instructor and student introductions, and access to snacks and beverages.
- Marinara (20 mins): Student volunteers will assist the instructor in preparing our large batch of classic marinara sauce, while discussing the importance of ingredient selection.
- Meatball Mixing & Rolling (30 mins): With the help of student volunteers, the instructor will walk the class through the structural role of a panade, the best meat blends, and hands-on techniques to shape tender, uniform meatballs
- Break (15 mins): Leg stretch and beverage refills at the refreshment station.
- Sub Prep & Assembly (40 mins): Student volunteers will assist in preparing the remaining ingredients for our subs and each student will assemble their own sub
- Broil & Meal (25 mins): Sit back and relax while your sub is being broiled, before you enjoy your custom-assembled, warm meatball sub creation.
Amenities Included
- Refreshments: Access to a snack counter including house-made non-alcoholic drinks, charcuterie, and a Keurig coffee station.
- Tools & Equipment: Individual stations equipped with class aprons and all necessary cooking tools, knives, and pans for your use during class.
- Recipes: Every student receives the recipe handouts used in class so this dish can be recreated at home.
- Meal: Each student will assemble and eat a full, custom-made meatball sub prepared in class.
Notes:
- Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE! If you are unable to attend the class, you may transfer the ticket to another person. Tickets are not transferable to another class.
- Doors will open 10 minutes before listed class start time. Students wishing to grab seats together are encouraged to arrive when doors open, otherwise we cannot guarantee reserved seating regardless if tickets were purchased together or not.
