About this Event

It Didn't Rain That Day is a live investigation game by ROBOPSY that combines collective prompting, performance, and large language models to examine how AI reshapes historical narratives, political memory, and our understanding of the present.

This live, installation-based “Investigation Game” takes the Turing Test as a simulacrum of human communication and explores how our daily role-playing with large language models rewrites the past. As time travellers through “The Shit-Stained Time” with AI: the focus is on a controversial political event. Through collective prompting on site, a site-specific game emerges — starting with the Vienna Circle in 1936, then haunting Café Central, and bringing us to the here and now — caught between platform capitalism and the rising techno-fascism that distorts our democratic present.

In the Collective Memory Game Prompting workshop, we explore how memory emerges collectively, overlaps, and changes over time. Site-specific scenarios, individual perspectives, fragments, and narratives are brought together and translated into a role-playing game. AI serves as a space of resonance, taking up, shifting, and reassembling collective memories. The result is speculative narratives that oscillate between documented history and shared imagination.

This workshop is part of, taking place on 12–13 September 2026. The workshop will take place in Betonhalle.
