Israeli Mezze Party

Join Chef Heidi for an evening inspired by the vibrant flavors and communal spirit of Middle Eastern dining at our Israeli Mezze Party — a hands-on cooking class centered around sharing, savoring, and gathering around the table.
In Middle Eastern dining, mezze means a spread of small dishes or appetizers, often shared at the table as part of the meal itself rather than a single starter. Rather than a formal plated meal, mezze is designed to be enjoyed slowly and socially — tearing flatbread, scooping spreads, mixing flavors, and sharing conversation around the table. The word itself is commonly linked to a root meaning “taste” or “to savor,” perfectly capturing the experience of sampling many flavors in one sitting.
Throughout the evening, Chef Heidi will guide guests through a menu inspired by the rich blend of culinary traditions that shape Israeli cuisine, including Persian, Moroccan Russian, and local Arab influences. The evening will also explore the tradition of salatim — colorful salads and vegetable dishes reflecting the incredible diversity found throughout Israeli cuisine and the eastern Mediterranean.
Guests will prepare a vibrant spread featuring:
• Grilled halloumi/ roasted garlic and tomato, pita chips (V)
• Spiced lamb meatballs with currants (GF, DF)
• Sweet potatoes, zaatar yogurt, parsley pistachio pesto (V, GF)
• Shaved fennel slaw, sumac onion, parsley, tahina (VG, V, GF, DF)
Whether you love to cook or simply love to gather around a table filled with beautiful food, this class is designed to be interactive, welcoming, and full of flavor. Come hungry and ready for an evening of leisurely dining, shared plates, and hands-on cooking with Chef Heidi.
Please note: we do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice; however, due to the nature of our cooking classes, we may not be able to accommodate all needs.
This class is BYOB and guests over the age of 21 are welcome to bring their drink of choice to enjoy during class.
