We are very excited to have the wonderful Akasha teaching us this Isle Shimmy. She will be teaching ITS, Improvised Tribal Style.This is a fun and diverse style which has its roots in American Tribal Style but is mixed with a variety of other dance styles.
Heike has been belly dancing for, in her words, an eternity. Her aim is to use this dance style to promote mental and physical well being, a safe space and community. Heike has Black Sheep Belly Dance Satellite Studio status and is one of the driving forces behind GOTHLA, a gothic fusion dance festival.
Heike feels very strongly about the work that the Sophie Lancaster Foundation does, which aims to stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance everywhere. £15 from each participant who attends the workshop will be going towards this very worthy charity. The raffle will be adding to this amount and we hope to raise a nice lot of money for them.
The workshop will be 3-5 pm and will cost £20.
The Hafla will begin at 7pm at a cost of £10.
If you attend both the workshop and Hafla it will be £25.
Bring your own drink and food to share.
There will be a second hand stall so please do bring your pre-loved sparklies to sell.
