Please join us for an Island-wide Children's Fall Maker's Market on Tuesday, November 4th from 10am-2pm at The Crow's Nest Ballroom on Camp Shields. Due to location change, space is very limited for our Fall Market. By signing up for a spot, you are making a commitment to participate. Last minute cancellations mean other children don't have the opportunity to participate. Once registration is full, we will go to a waitlist. Thank you for understanding.
What is a Maker's Market? It is essentially a craft show/entrepreneur fair, and is an opportunity for your child/children to showcase and sell their homemade goods! The items need to be made by your children (with your help if necessary). Examples of things sold in the past include homemade baked goods, canned items, homemade soaps & candles, crocheted/knitted/sewed items, and artwork including paintings and drawings...the sky is the limit...be creative!
You can make this as much of a learning experience as you like for your children. In addition to being a really fun event, it’s also a great opportunity to teach the kids about small businesses—upfront material costs, pricing, display, name, end profit, etc.
A couple of notes:
*Set up from 9-10am; clean-up from 2-3pm
*No cooking of food is allowed on-site.
*You are responsible for bringing change. It is up to you whether to accept usd, yen and/or electronic payment
*Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. RSVP to the FB Event WILL NOT guarantee your spot.
