Join us for a weekend with master calligrapher and world renowned artist Haji Noor Deen!
"Patience is Beautiful" is a message Haji Noor Deen often repeats to his students.
Arabic calligraphy is considered an Islamic science (akin to fiqh and tafsir) because it preserves the written Word of Allah and is a means of purifying the nafs. Haji Noor Deen is a master of Arabic Calligraphy in the Chinese Tradition and the Thuluth and Naskh Scripts.

Calligraphy Workshops on Saturday, Jan. 18th:
Location: ICC - Tempe
11am-12:30pm - Arabic Calligraphy in the Chinese Style
4pm-5:30pm - Arabic Calligraphy in the Thuluth/Naskh scripts

10am-1pm - Arabic Calligraphy in the Chinese Style
2pm-5pm - Arabic Calligraphy in the Thuluth/Naskh scripts

To register for a calligraphy workshop, please select the script (Chinese style or Thuluth/Naskh) you are interested in. If you want an introduction, Saturday's workshops are perfect for you. This is available to all ages, however, if someone is younger than 14, they must be accompanied with an adult and be able to patiently sit and write. Saturday's workshops are 1.5 hours.
If you would like to go more in depth for a more serious study, please select the script you would like to study (Chinese style or Thuluth/Naskh) and attend both workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's workshops are 3 hours long.
Workshops have limited spots available.
Note: While you may sign up for more than 1 workshop, you cannot register for the Sunday workshop if you haven't registered for the corresponding Saturday workshop too.
