Isaiah Joe Street Naming Ceremony

The City of Fort Smith will honor Fort Smith native and NBA player Isaiah Joe with a street naming ceremony on Friday, August 21, at 6:00 p.m.
The ceremony will recognize Joe's achievements on and off the court, as well as the pride he continues to bring to Fort Smith as one of the city's most accomplished athletes. Joe will attend the ceremony to celebrate the dedication of Isaiah Joe Court and join city officials, community leaders, family members, and fans in recognizing this special honor.
Earlier this year, the Fort Smith Board of Directors approved naming a portion of North 25th Street adjacent to Northside High School as "Isaiah Joe Court." The designation serves as a lasting tribute to Joe's journey from Fort Smith to the professional basketball stage and his continued commitment to his hometown.
Joe, a graduate of Northside High School and a former University of Arkansas Razorback, was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft before joining the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2022. Since then, he has established himself as one of the NBA's premier three-point shooters and helped the Thunder capture the 2025 NBA Championship. He was recently traded to the Detroit Pistons, where he will continue his professional career.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
