Topic: The New Cyber Battleground: AI Risk at Enterprise Scale

Presentation by: Dr. Michael C. Redmond, PhD

Bio:

Dr. Michael C. Redmond, PhD, is an internationally recognized expert in enterprise risk management—covering cybersecurity, business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management—with advanced credentials including ISO, MBCP, FBCI, and CEM. She serves as Senior Lead Consultant and Senior Lead Auditor for Redmond Worldwide. She served as the Acting CISO/Deputy CISO for Louisville, Kentucky. Her background includes senior leadership roles with KPMG and Deloitte, as well as Director of Audit and Consulting for EFPR Group. Dr. Redmond is a global speaker on AI and resiliency, presenting across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Canada, and the United States, and she has authored numerous AI‑focused articles for industry publications. She is also an ISO certification trainer for PECB. In addition, she is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with four years of active duty and eighteen and a half years in the National Guard and Reserve.

Topic Abstract:

AI is reshaping the cyber risk landscape by accelerating both the speed of attacks and the expectations organizations place on automated systems. As enterprises rely more heavily on AI‑driven software without sufficient human oversight, the risks tied to accuracy, resilience, and misuse grow exponentially. This session explores how AI‑enabled threats are evolving, why cybersecurity and AI teams must develop shared knowledge to manage these risks, and what organizations need to do to ensure that AI enhances—not undermines—their overall security posture.
