Want to try dragon boating without a big time commitment? Come paddle with 502 FIRE Recreational Dragon Boat Team!

502 FIRE is a recreational dragon boat team designed for paddlers who want to have fun, get active, meet new people, and experience dragon boating without an intensive practice schedule.

You do not have to be a team member or registered for the festival to attend. Beginners are welcome!

Advance registration is required to save your seat. Exact meeting and check-in information will be provided to registered participants.

Paddlers registered to race with 502 FIRE Recreational Team receive priority seating for team practices.

You don't need to be an experienced paddler — or rearrange your entire schedule — to be part of a dragon boat team!

502 FIRE Recreational Team meets on the third Wednesday of each month, with additional Saturday opportunities coming soon based on interest.

502 FIRE is preparing for the 2026 Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Jericho, happening Saturday, October 3rd.

To race with 502 FIRE, you only need to complete one practice before race day.
