About this Event

Join us for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and community as we explore the relationship between Black hair, identity, and culture. Inspired by the upcoming short film Is Natural Hair That Deep?, this free interactive experience invites guests to participate in meaningful conversations through engaging activities designed to challenge common hair myths, share personal stories, and reflect on the experiences that shape how we see ourselves.

Throughout the evening, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to our Story Wall by sharing your own hair journey.

• Test your knowledge with the Black Hair Myth Challenge and learn the truth behind common misconceptions.

• Join a live community conversation where volunteers share personal experiences and reflections on Black hair, identity, and the messages we've learned growing up

• Meet filmmaker and podcast host Kinetra Stewart and learn about the inspiration behind the upcoming short film.

• Watch the official Kickstarter campaign video and discover how you can help bring the film to life.
