Is Federal Ammunition's Lead Reaching Your Home? — Community Town Hall
About this Event
Join us in person for a free community town hall focused on take-home and community lead exposure connected to the Federal Cartridge / Federal Premium Ammunition facility in Anoka, MN. Attorney Chris Irizarry of Farrell & Fuller will lead an open discussion and answer your questions in a relaxed, friendly setting.
This event is especially for the families and household members of current and former plant workers. Lead and other hazardous substances can travel home from a facility on a worker's clothing, shoes, skin, and personal items — exposing spouses, children, and others who live with them, even though they never set foot inside the plant. Children are particularly vulnerable, and Minnesota health officials have looked into elevated blood lead levels among the children of workers at the Anoka facility.
