IRWD offers customers a chance to take a guided tour through our facilities — and now we're inviting the whole family!
In a special evening edition, the Aug. 6 Community Tour will guide customers on a walk through the San Joaquin Marsh, where we'll join Sea and Sage Audubon Society for a bat-viewing experience.
The evening tour will include:
—Walking tour of San Joaquin Marsh
—Informative videos
—Microscope demonstration
—Water efficiency discussion
—Q&A session
—Dinner at the Duck Club
—Craft activity for kids
—Bat-viewing opportunity
Community tours are free for IRWD customers, but registration is required. Sign up at IRWD.com/events.
This tour will be limited to 40 guests. Children must be 5 years or older (babies in arms are OK). No wagons, carts, bicycles or scooters. Closed-toe shoes are required. IRWD will provide guests with safety gear for the tour and bat viewing.
