Something a little different…
This year on Saturday September 12th the ITCC will meet
at Tim Osmond Park, Antioch IL for the. Wi-IL Training Club
(WAG) Fast Cat Trial
Then after/during lunch we offer a hands-on grooming Q&A
(as always) and if there’s enough interest, we will do a
mock dog show to provide members with a better idea of
what’s with Conformation Showing.
ITCC recommends that you set up an account at Tally Ho
Events so that when the trail entries open on July 16th at
6 pm you are ready to enter. Entries must be made before
the losing date of Sept 9, 2026. To make an entry you’ll
need your dogs’ AKC Registration Number, know the dog’s
height in inches at the withers and a credit card. Entering
the Trail through Tally Ho Events means your dog can earn
Qualifying Runs towards AKC Fast Cat Titles. You can learn
about Fast Cat on the AKC website. Fast Cat is simple and
fun for dogs! This trial is a great way to try Fast Cat and
there will be experienced ITCC members there to support you. Remember, this is open to anyone with an Irish Terrier, so feel free to spread the word!
If you are hesitant or do not have an AKC registration for your Irish, there will be a limited number of NON-qualifying runs during the trial’s lunch break. Please RSVP to Connie Swenson, [email protected], before September 5 at midnight if you’d like to do the Non-Titling Run.
Information about food, where we will meet and parking will be emailed after the closing date.
Things you’ll need:
A chair or two! For spectating and sitting
Shade for you & your dog. Golf umbrellas work well
You will want two leashes – one for releasing your dog and the other for catching.
Water for your dog.
PLEASE , PLEASE pick up after your dogs! If you do need clean up materials see a Board Member.
