Favorite storyteller William Kennedy Hornyak returns to Port Angeles on St. Patrick's Day! From warrior poets and lusty queens to blessed saints and wise sorceresses, storyteller William Kennedy Hornyak weaves together a wild mix of Irish myths, tales, poems, songs and history into spellbinding performances. Join us for a lively celebration of St. Patrick and the countless druids, gods and goddesses whose lives infused the emerald isle with its soulful brand of magic, spiritual depth and timeless allure. Not to be missed. For mature audiences. William Hornyak has entertained, educated and inspired audiences throughout the Northwest and beyond for thirty years as a professional storyteller. He is an engaging and embodied performer who draws audiences into a shared experience of wonder.
A life-long traveler he has worked as a newspaperman in South America, a fisherman in Alaska, a carpenter, farm hand and university instructor. Stories, poems and songs of work and labor find common ground with Irish myths, Mexican fables, Grimm’s fairytales and Oregon tall tales in Will’s highly imaginative performances. Will teaches storytelling in professional communication at Marylhurst Univ. in Portland, Oregon and performs throughout the United States.
“Will Hornyak is a storyteller extraordinaire.” - The late Clem Starck, Oregon Book Award Winning Poet
