Irish Design Week 2026

What if challenge became opportunity? Artist-led exploration where materials, ideas & audience interaction shape unexpected possibilities
About this Event

Design Week 2026

Join us at The Design Tower during Design Week from November 9- 12 2026 at 2:30 PM for afternoons that are all about exploring new creative possibilities. We’ll kick off with conversation and questioning, then dive straight into practice to let fresh forms unfold right before your eyes.

Our lives cannot but be challenged by the myriad circumstances facing us daily. Change and challenge can reshape our understanding thereby presenting windows of opportunity which can fire the imagination, allowing new work to emerge.

Fifteen participants are invited to engage with the artist each day, to explore intricate situations and materials where form and function will be brought into question and where outcomes are arrived at through enquiry. Materials will be selected each day and will not be prescriptive. Results can be open-ended and the audience will play a key role in determining the outcomes.

These events are designed to be exploratory in nature and will last 2.5hrs.

Each day will be different and materials will be selected on a daily basis.

You do not need to bring anything to the event except an openness to expand your thoughts and ideas.

There may be no material outcomes but all participates will take away a piece of the artists own work that's at least equal to the value of, or more than, the ticket price.
