Johann Sebastian Bach Mass in B minor
Bach’s ‘Mass in B Minor’ is an extraordinary work, completed a year before Bach’s death. The magnificence of this piece still shines brightly today, through both the serenity and deep contemplation of quieter moments juxtaposed with glorious celebration. The Olivier Award- winning Irish Baroque Orchestra is acclaimed as Ireland’s time-travelling orchestra.
“This was another supreme achievement from Whelan’s people, one of the great glories not just of the Irish music scene but of baroque ensembles worldwide; it simply doesn’t get better than this”
