Only 8 weeks until the Africa Rally. So now, 3 weeks during and a little time after to raise the money needed for this wee school to be able to educate disadvantaged kids in a remote village of western Zambia. A young man, having fought hard for his own education, passionate and determined to make sure the children of his village, Ipee, in western Zambia get the education they are being denied, through the total lack of schools anywhere near where they can possibly get to!
Driving through Zambia I saw so many children walking, often completely alone and really little, literally in the middle of no-where, and wondered where they could be going. Some of them, to school, miles away from home so you can imagine how many just don't!
We're excited for this 4th Leg of our sub-Saharan adventure which will begin by competing in The Africa Rally from Johannesburg to Tanzania. Then we will move on through Kenya and the 5th leg - well wait and see!! But all the way through we will strive to raise awareness and funds for locally led African conservation and community projects to help Africans determine their own future.
