Emphasis is placed on equity and accessibility, and how AI tools can help all educators deliver on that promise. PD Certificate. (Bring your laptop.)
- All About NJEA for ESPs This training will cover the basic foundations of NJEA’s governance and organizational structure, highlight essential contacts, and provide a guide to the “must know” annual events every ESP should know. Participation will be noted in your NJEA Advocacy Portfolio.
Workshop 2 Choices:
- Using Canva for Teaching and Learning -This workshop introduces educators to the diverse classroom applications of Canva, a visual communication platform with powerful AI-assisted features. Participants will explore how to use Canva to create engaging learning materials, support student creativity, and streamline professional tasks such as newsletters, websites and presentations. The session will include live demonstrations, collaborative activities, and practical planning time. Members will need either a Gmail or district assigned email address to ensure that they can access all of the features. It would also be beneficial to sign up for a FREE Canva for Education account prior to the workshop at canva.com/education. PD Certificate. (Bring your laptop.)
- You Can’t Spell Leadership without ESP This engaging and interactive workshop centers Educational Support Professionals as essential leaders in their Association. Participants will explore what leadership looks like, build confidence in their voice, and learn practical strategies to lead from where they are – whether in a classroom, office, bus, cafeteria, or beyond. ESPs will leave with tools to organize, advocate, and step fully into their power, because leadership isn’t a title, it’s action. Participation will be noted in your Advocacy Portfolio.
