Iowa Farm & Food Conference
Formerly known as the Community Food Systems + Farm to School and Early Care Conference, this biennial event engages, supports, and inspires professionals across all sectors of the food system, from farmers and educators to public health leaders, nonprofits, and food businesses. What we do today matters tomorrow.
Day 1: Community Connections (June 11)
Participants will travel across the Waterloo area for guided field trips, visiting local farms, schools, food access organizations, and community spaces. Attendees select one track during registration and spend the day learning directly from people doing the work on the ground.
Day 2: Conference Day (June 12)
The second day brings everyone together for sessions, networking, and shared learning. With five conference tracks, participants can explore topics ranging from youth and education to community health, farmer pathways, and food system strategy.
This year’s theme, Futuring our Food System, invites participants to imagine bold, transformative possibilities for the future and explore the systematic, creative, and connective measures that get us there. “Futuring” is about building resilience in the face of uncertainty and actively shaping our shared future.
