Inwood Hill Park Field Trip in NYC

Manhattan isn’t just a concrete jungle—and its history isn't always what the textbooks tell you. To celebrate Arbor Day, join and for a Field Trip Experience, a community event for history nerds and nature lovers alike.
We’re heading to Inwood Hill Park, Manhattan’s only original forest, to explore the Park’s natural, environmental, and social history through live storytelling. We’ll hike through geological wonders and historical "lore" while separating the facts from the fables of the land. Along the way, we’ll participate in the , documenting the Park's biodiversity in real-time. These observations will contribute to during the weekend.
Josh Otero from Natural Areas Conservancy, and Christa Avampato and Bethany Fitch from NYC's Secrets & Lies, will be your field guides and storytellers for this immersive experience into the wilder side of Manhattan. Come ready for some fresh air and forgotten secrets. All ages are welcome.
