Grace began attending Thích Nhất Hạnh’s retreats in the early 90’s resulting in an intermittent practice. Retreats and workshops, such as Harvard’s Spirit in Action, book studies, and being part of communities of practice, are vital for her. There is no “one and done.” The Inviting Gentle Awareness Retreat Day at Unity of Roanoke Valley supports us all in our personal and evolving peace practice.

Brooke is a member of the Care Taking Council for Heart of the Blue Ridge Sangha and is grateful for community, simplicity, and the quiet courage of awareness. She is honored to help hold space for a day of gentleness, practice, and connection through the preparation of wholesome and nourishing food.
