Invitation: Memorial Home Open House

Friends of Memorial Home, a dedicated group committed to preserving and revitalizing a cherished local landmark, is hosting an open house event for Memorial Day. The
event is aimed at envisioning the future of the Memorial Home and is
scheduled for Monday, May 27, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at
706 E Market St, Logansport, IN.
Logansport, Indiana, April 25, 2024 – Friends of Memorial Home is a
grassroots organization composed of passionate volunteers and
advocates. Their mission is to preserve, revitalize, and repurpose
Memorial Home for the benefit of the community and its veterans.
The group seeks to honor the legacy of this historic landmark while
creating spaces that foster connection, creativity, and collaboration.
The Memorial Home was built in 1860 and was dedicated as a war
memorial in 1922.
In January 2022, the City of Logansport passed a resolution to take
control of the Memorial Center. Plans are underway to repair the roof
to ensure further structural damage. Friends of Memorial Home are
seeking feedback about the restoration of the Center and its potential
