Investate x Guapo (in partnership with University of Surrey) presents Access Unlocked: Pathways to Apprenticeships!

Access Unlocked: Pathways to Degree Apprenticeships for the ESRC Festival of Social Science will be run by Guapo & Investate. This session is aimed at aspiring degree apprentices and will provide insights, advice, and inspiration to help young people navigate the journey into higher and degree apprenticeships.​

The event aims to widen access to higher and degree apprenticeships for young people from underrepresented backgrounds, particularly those from low-income, racial minorities, or non-traditional educational backgrounds. It seeks to bridge the gap between research and real-world practice, inspire young people, and support educators, employers, and families in creating inclusive pathways to skilled careers. ​​

The event will feature a live talk and three panel discussions with apprentices, Early Careers professionals, and a final talk by Guapo alongside Investate focusing on structural barriers and lived experiences. ​ It will also showcase Guapo, a youth-led ed-tech platform designed to support underrepresented youth in accessing tech/digital and apprenticeship routes, and Investate, a youth-led platform empowering Gen Z by connecting overlooked talent with the tools, networks, and guidance needed to succeed in competitive industries.​
