Dear Valued Customers, Friends, and Supporters,
It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of gratitude that Mike and I share this message with all of you. Southern Shack Designs has been more than just a business to us; it has been a journey that has brought us closer to so many of you, and for that, we will be forever thankful. We have made some of the best friends and cherished memories over the years, and we are truly blessed to have crossed paths with each of you.
We have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into this business, and it has been nothing short of a labor of love. However, after much reflection and a recent discovery about my health, Mike and I have made the difficult decision to close this chapter of our lives. I was recently diagnosed with a congenital heart condition that required open-heart surgery, two bypasses, and the placement of a mechanical valve. The doctors were actually surprised that I hadn't already passed due to the condition of my heart, but I’ve been given another chance at life—one that we are determined to embrace without regret.
It is time for us to step into a new horizon. We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives surrounded by our children and grandchildren, living each moment with them, and focusing on what truly matters—family, love, and creating beautiful memories together. While our hearts are heavy saying goodbye to this chapter, we are excited for the future and the new landscape that we are ready to paint.
We want to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you’ve shown us over the years. We’ve cared deeply for all of you, and it’s not easy to let go of something that has meant so much to us. But, we know it’s time for us to move forward, and we do so with no regrets, only hope and excitement for the next phase of our journey.

We will miss you all, more than words can express, but we wish you nothing but a life of health, happiness, and living with no regrets. You, my dear friends, we’re always our most valuable asset in this business.
