Invasive Species Management (Volunteer Event)

Join TennGreen Land Conservancy as we work to remove invasive plants from around the Belle Forest Cave & Arboretum!

Gloves and all necessary tools will be provided. Prior invasive species management is not required. This event is intended for everyone: first-timers, amateurs, and experts! We will provide you with all the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. Closed-toed shoes are required, and volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeves and pants.

Please bring your own water bottle. We will not provide plastic bottles, but there will be a water cooler to refill your containers. Light snacks will also be available. Restrooms are not available on site.

Upon signing up for this event, a TennGreen representative will contact you to provide a copy of our Volunteer Handbook, liability waiver, and parking instructions.

Due to limited parking, attendees will meet TennGreen at Five Guys (7026 Hwy 70 S, Nashville, TN 37221), and we will carpool to our location, which is a two-minute drive.

ABOUT THE LAND

In 2015, TennGreen acquired the unique property at Belle Forest Cave. It was established as a certified arboretum in the fall of 2018, with over 40 different, unique species of trees located on the property.
