About this Event
Volunteers will meet TWC staff at the Fallbrook public library between 8:45 am and 9:00 am to complete liability waivers, meet with other volunteers and organize into carpools.
Preserve Rangers will guide volunteers to the Willow Glen Trailhead. Once there, Rangers will provide an orentation about the Oak Woodland Restoration project, disperse gloves and W**d-removal tools, discuss the best methods for removal and collection and split into groups before starting our work!
Mustard, Russian Thistle and Italian Star Thistle out-compete native plant species and colonize open areas, making it difficult for sensitve and critcal plant life to thrive in their homes. Find more information on both below.

Our goal will to be to remove and dispose of these invasive plants to create more space for all of the wonderful native plantlife here in the Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve!
Make sure to bring water, sun protection and appropriate footwear for a hike and work-day.
We look forward to working with and seeing you all!
