A Falcon 9 will launch Intuitive Machines' second Nova-C lunar lander, nicknamed "Athena", towards the Moon. The launch is tied to pad 39A where SpaceX is set to use last-minute top off of liquid methane and liquid oxygen of this company's lander through the F9 second stage. IM-2 is the second mission under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) Program for Intuitive Machines.
The rocket will head east out of the cape with the first stage returning back to land for a landing at Landing Zone 1.
