For those with basic knowledge of weaving, ie how to wind a warp, dress a table loom and follow a simple draft.
We will build on these skills by working with block drafts to explore a range of patterns, using both weaving software and traditional pencil and paper for drafts. Participants will weave a sampler and an item of their choice.
Note that CSW cannot guarantee availability of looms for hire for this course. Participants are advised to bring their own looms with a minimum of 4 shafts.
Runs 4 days 9:30am to 4pm: 11 Oct (Sat), 12 Oct (Sun) , 19 Oct (Sun) and 26 Oct (Sun)
Looms may be able to be hired from CSW for a period of 3 months @ $35/month, ($100 refundable deposit) - please make enquiries if this is required. Due to another course running close to these dates for beginners, looms may be unavailable.
