Introduction to the NADA Protocol - with Rachel Peckham [1 Day CPD]

Rachel Peckham is coming back to CICM this autumn to run her ever popular one-day NADA protocol course.
The NADA protocol is a standard non diagnostic treatment using five auricular points, and is commonly used within substance misuse/addiction services. It is currently used in other areas such as mental health and psychiatric care, smoking cessation, cancer care services, trauma (PTSD), and for young people with behavioural disorders.

Topics covered on the day will include:
👂 A brief overview of auricular acupuncture
👂 Origins of NADA & demo of treatment
👂 Location of the five NADA points
👂 Ear needle insertion practice
👂 Health benefits of the treatment protocol
👂 Functions of the five NADA points
👂 Psychosocial benefits of treatment
👂 Health & safety implications of treating in group settings

The Seminar will involve clinical practice and it is helpful, although not essential, to receive treatment as well as deliver it.

Rachel is a Director and Trainer for NADA GB (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association). After graduating from CTA in 1994, Rachel went on to postgraduate training in TCM, and holds an MSc from Westminster University. This includes a dissertation/study on the impact of the NADA protocol at the Core Trust (a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Marylebone, London), where Rachel worked for five years as a clinician, group leader, and facilitator of the NADA clinic . In 2017 she helped to set up and run a NADA clinic in the Grenfell Community following the fire . Rachel runs a private practice in Acton, London.
